Bettie Jean Smith, age 78, of Clarksville, Tennessee, passed away on Friday, March 22, 2024 in Clarksville.

Bettie was born May 19, 1945, in Clarksville, Tennessee to the late Dan and Bessie Elliott.
Bettie is survived by her sons, Lonzo, Joey (Cynthia), and Henry Smith; daughter Valerie (Orlanda) Smith-Merriweather; brothers, Clarence and Michael Elliott; sisters, Josephine (William) Wall, Glenda (Barry) Reaves, Kathy (Donny) Clark, and Dorothy (Bernard) File.

A celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, March 30, 2024 at 12:00 PM at Christ the Healer Church, 1295 Paradise Hill Road, Clarksville, Tennessee 37040 with Rev. Frederick Daniels officiating. Visitation will be on Friday, March 29, 2024, from 4-7 PM at Neal-Tarpley-Parchman Funeral Home. Visitation will also be held on Saturday, March 30, 2024, from 11:00 AM until the hour of service at the church.
